St. Mary’s General Hospital a HEALTHGRADES FIVE-STAR RECIPIENT for 4 Surgical Procedures
In new research released by Healthgrades, St. Mary’s General Hospital was awarded 5-star ratings for four surgical procedures:
- Treatment of Heart Failure
- Coronary Interventional Procedures
- Hip Fracture Treatment
- Appendectomy
Every year, Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 32 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions. This analysis shows that patients treated at hospitals receiving a 5-star rating demonstrate exceptional outcomes for their patients, with a lower risk of mortality and a lower risk of experiencing one or more complications during a hospital stay than if they were treated at hospitals receiving a 1-star rating in that procedure or condition.
Healthgrades recognizes hospitals’ quality care year round, with these surgical procedure ratings the first for 2021.
