At St. Mary’s General Hospital, our Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center specializes in the advanced treatment of chronic and non-healing wounds. Our multidisciplinary team uses evidence-based therapies—including hyperbaric oxygen therapy—to promote faster healing, reduce complications, and improve quality of life. Whether caused by diabetes, poor circulation, or surgery, we deliver personalized care to help patients heal safely and effectively.

Our services

The Center for Wound Healing at St. Mary’s General Hospital specializes in the treatment of:

  • Diabetic, pressure, and neuropathic ulcers
  • Surgical and traumatic wounds
  • Peristomal skin irritations
  • Vasculitis and venous insufficiency
  • Burns, radiation lesions and failed skin grafts

Our comprehensive approach includes:

  • Diabetes and edema management
  • Infectious disease management
  • Nutritional disease management
  • Pain Management

Advanced wound care techniques:

  • Bio-engineered skin substitutes
  • Hyberbaric Oxygen therapy for patients, including bariatric patients up to 700 lbs.
  • Growth factor therapy
  • Specialized dressings and wraps
  • Compression and negative pressure therapy

Insurance & Authorization

The Center for Wound Healing at St. Mary’s General Hospital accepts most insurance plans. Prior-authorization is required, with the exception of Medicare Plan B. Physician referrals are required for treatment.

Free Transportation

Courtesy shuttle transportation is available for patients who:

  • Live within a 5-mile radius

  • Are physically able to walk themselves curbside

  • Are able enter/exit the vehicle independently
